Southeast Juvenile Detention Center
Project Description:
At the Southeast Juvenile Detention Center, we fabricated and installed a bold, custom entry portal that establishes a strong architectural identity from the moment of arrival. The design features an artistic “bubble pattern” precision-cut into corrugated steel, creating a dynamic play of texture, depth, and shadow across the façade. To reinforce visual continuity, we extended this pattern into a custom column wrap, tying the exterior elements together and creating a cohesive, intentional design language throughout the entry experience.
Inside the facility, we carried the same level of precision and integration into the interior systems. We engineered and fabricated a fully coordinated stair system designed to meet both strict performance requirements and modern design standards. To complement the structure, we installed elegantly tinted glass guardrails along both the stairs and mezzanine levels, providing a clean, transparent safety barrier that maintains openness while meeting code requirements.
Throughout the project, we focused on balancing durability, safety, and architectural expression. As a result, the final installation delivers a secure, highly functional environment without sacrificing visual impact. The combination of patterned steelwork, refined structural elements, and glass detailing creates a contemporary aesthetic that feels intentional, cohesive, and built to last.
