City of Phoenix – Odor Control
Project Description:
This project features a decorative gabion wall and custom metal fencing system designed to screen an odor control facility for the City of Phoenix. A gabion base filled with native stone grounds the site and provides a durable perimeter, while vertical steel fins rise above it in a flowing pattern that softens the enclosure and allows light and air to pass through. A curved Corten steel canopy shelters the equipment below, adding shade and a sculptural element that ties the system together. The weathered steel finish and organic forms transform a purely functional facility into an integrated architectural feature that blends with the surrounding desert environment.
