This public art installation features a series of CorTen steel trees precisely aligned to reveal solar noon during the equinox, centered around a custom-engraved granite table. The tree trunks were fabricated from custom bump-formed CorTen round tubing, stacked to create organic vertical forms, with additional CorTen round tubing welded in place to form the branches. The sculptural pine-needles are crafted from cast aluminum spheres fitted with acrylic rods epoxied in place to capture and refract light. The installation is located in Flagstaff, outside the Mountain Line’s Downtown Connection Center.
