Sun Garden

Project Description:

This public art installation lines the pedestrian walkway beneath the Mill Avenue Railroad underpass, just north of Broadway in Tempe, Arizona. The structure incorporates precisely indexed roll-formed tubing to ensure accurate alignment during assembly, paired with laser-cut plate brackets that support the overall form. Dichroic acrylic “leaves” are integrated throughout the installation, shifting color as pedestrians move past, creating a dynamic, interactive visual experience that transforms the underpass into an engaging public space.
