Bloom Canopy
Project Description:
This public art installation for the Pierce Street Improvement in Phoenix, Arizona features a series of five interconnected shade canopies that also incorporate integrated seating. Fabricated from durable steel and hardwood, the structures use custom-painted terracotta ceramic louvers to provide shade while adding color and texture. Designed as part of an ongoing effort to enhance walkability and comfort in Phoenix’s public spaces, the project was later relocated in 2024 to El Reposo Park to accommodate redevelopment at the original site.
