What is powder coating?
Powder coating is a dry finishing process in which a finely ground powder is electrostatically applied to metal surfaces and cured under heat to form a durable, uniform coating. Unlike liquid paint, powder coating produces a thicker, more resilient finish with excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance. It is commonly used for architectural, commercial, and industrial metalwork where long-term performance and appearance are critical.
How it works:
Powder coating projects typically follow a controlled, multi-step process:
- Metal surfaces are cleaned and prepared for coating
- Pretreatment (if required) is applied to improve adhesion and corrosion resistance
- Powder is evenly applied using electrostatic equipment
- Coated parts are cured in an oven
- Finished components are inspected for coverage and quality
- Parts are prepared for deliver or integrated into final assemblies
This process ensures consistent color, coverage, and long-term protection.
Why powder coating is ideal:
- Provides durable, long-lasting surface protection
- Resists chipping, fading, and corrosion
- Delivers consistent, high-quality finishes
- Suitable for both interior and exterior applications
- Integrates seamlessly with custom metal fabrication workflows
